| Definition | Bí represents a form of currency, item being used for trade, or gift. The Ránáyó people saw all forms of currency as being part of the same general concept, even if they had differing values, and even if it wouldn't count as "money" in an English language sense. If it was being used to buy something, via barter or trade, it was considered a form of currency. If it was being given as a gift, it was still a form of currency, just being used to buy favor instead of material goods. Literally translates to "exchange/trade value pattern." |
